This policy describes, in plain language, what information Tyché actually collects through this website and what happens to it. It is written to accurately reflect how the site works today, but it is not a substitute for legal advice — please have it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with your local laws before relying on it as your final, published policy.

Tyché ("we", "us", "our") operates this website to sell handmade fine jewelry, take custom order requests, and book private atelier visits. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly, including:

Account details — your name, email address, phone number, country, password, and (optionally) your date of birth, when you create an account.
Order information — your name, phone number, delivery address, the pieces you order (including any gemstone or gold color choices), and your payment reference number when you check out or submit an order request.
Appointment details — your name, phone number, email, and preferred dates when you book a private fitting, repair, or resizing visit.
Anything you choose to write — customization notes, comments left on a delivered order, or messages sent to us directly.
Reviews and photos — if you rate and review a delivered order from "My Orders," we collect your star ratings, your short comment, your longer written story (if you add one), and any photo you choose to upload.

We also automatically store a small amount of technical information in your browser (not on our servers) to make the site work properly — this includes your day/night display preference and the current contents of your shopping bag, stored using your browser's local storage. We do not use this to track you across other websites, and we do not currently use any third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

How We Use Your Information

To process and fulfill your orders, order requests, and appointment bookings.
To create and manage your account, and show you your own order history.
To send you order-related emails (for example, letting you know a custom gemstone is confirmed available, or that your order has been delivered).
To send you marketing or promotional emails, but only if you've opted in to our newsletter — you can opt out at any time from your account.
If you've given us your date of birth, to generate you a one-time birthday discount code around your birthday. This is never fully automatic — a real person on our team decides whether and how to send it to you, so giving us your birthday doesn't sign you up for automatic emails.
To feature a comment you've left about a delivered order on our homepage, but only with your explicit permission at the time you leave it.
To publish a review you've submitted — if we choose to publish it, your name, general location, the item you ordered, your star ratings, your written comments, and your photo (if you added one) are shown publicly on our Client Story page and homepage. We decide which reviews to publish; submitting a review doesn't guarantee it will be shown, and you can ask us to remove one that's already published.

Who We Share It With

We don't sell your personal information. A limited number of service providers process it on our behalf, strictly to help run the site:

Firebase (Google) — hosts this website and stores our database, including your account and order information, securely. Any photo you upload (for example, with a review) is stored using Firebase's file storage.
EmailJS — sends the small number of automatic emails described above (gemstone availability, order delivered) using your name and email address.
WhatsApp — when you or our team confirm a payment or order detail, that conversation happens over WhatsApp using the phone number you provided.

Payments made via Whish are confirmed manually between you and our team — we do not have an automated integration that shares your data with Whish directly.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your account and order information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to fulfill an order, resolve a dispute, or comply with our legal obligations. If you'd like your account or personal data deleted, contact us using the details below and we'll process your request.

Your Choices

You can view and update your name, phone number, and country at any time from "My Account." Your date of birth is optional at sign-up — you can leave it blank, and you can ask us to remove it later by contacting us directly.
You can opt in or out of marketing emails from your account settings.
You can delete your account yourself at any time from "My Account" → "Delete My Account." This removes your sign-in and saved profile details; your past orders stay on file for our records as described above, and a review you've had published stays visible unless you separately ask us to take it down.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information — including taking down a published review — by contacting us directly.

Where We Operate

Tyché currently serves customers in Lebanon. If this changes, we'll update this policy to reflect it.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
